Anyone have a problem with loud noises? I find that when I'm trying to concentrate on something, and I hear a loud noise, it's like my brain shuts down and it takes a few seconds to try to go back to what I was doing. It's enough to make me give up if the noise is unavoidable.. (like construction, or dh's loud music, lol)
I loved loud music as a teen, but now? I can't stand it.

I don't like loud noises even if I'm not trying to concentrate. I can't stand taking my kids to Chuck E. Cheese! ;D

I also don't like loud noises. In fact I like the tv down just to where I can hear it~~~I hate having a fan on in the summer so I have to hear that and turn the tv up so I can hear it---drives me crazy. Levi and dh will turn tv up so loud the neighbors can hear it but on the other hand Levi really hates loud high pitched noises. Bothers him so much he has to get away from the culprit. Riley is like me but I can hear his personal cd player when he is in his room with the door shut

The loud noises don't bother me as much as the "little" noises like tapping of pencils, excessive chewing, etc. I had such a hard time in school with the noises of others around me and paying attention.

:)Both Dd and I can't stand the sound of blowdryers. I've talked to manager's in movie theatres when the sound of the movie was too loud. I shut off too with loud noises. Any kind of overstimulation drives me crazy!

Sweety - My hair was about 6 inches below my shoulder. I have to find a "real job," which means I have to be professional. I had 2 options: blow dry or whack it off. My hair is now a slightly too-long pixie cut. I do need to invest in a blow dryer for drying out shoes though...

I have to use my hair dryer on the low setting. Another thing that really bothers me is vacuum cleaners.

Ok, this is kinda gross, but DS and I who are the ones who are sensitive to sounds also have problems with a lot of ear wax. Anyone else like that?

that's a new concept, I don't think that I have heard before It all depends on the noises. I can't stand to hear people chewing, it just freaks m eout and I want to ask them to chew quieter, but they already are......almost like I would rather hear them chomp like a cow ;D ;D
