i went to a nami meeting last night, its actually a 9 week coarse that teaches about mental disorders like adhd or autism and a whole bunch others. i went because of obvious reasons, me, and i am almost sure my daughter has it, man is she ever like her dad, poor thing but also because my brother is autistic. i tried to get him to go with me, but i think my parents wouldnt let him. he said he didnt want to go. ( riiiiight) anyway learned some good things and got about 200 pages of info on adhd and ocd, odd, autism and so forth. still pouring over it all will take me a while, but if any of you have ever gone to one of these or want to know what i got let me know daniel

I haven't heard of it but it sure sounds interesting! Its a shame your brother couldn't go!! ... Are you doing the whole 9 weeks or can you just pop in and do the bits that are of interest? ...

Daniel, that sounds like a very interesting meeting. What exactly does nami stand for? Sounds like something I would like to go to. I will have to keep my ears open for it to come around my area. Keep us posted!!

national alliance for mentally ill, is what it stands for. i havent had much chance to go over the material i got tuesday, its been a long week, will is still in the hospital and every week they say he should be able to come home soon, and then something happens, soo... lots and lots of long trips to st louis, going to see if we can go up there after i get off of work today if i am not still sick, i had to got to hospital last night, i felt like i had real low blood sugar like 40 or something, but it wasnt was 131 so after a couple of hours of feeling like that i went into the hospital, where they fixed me up, apparently the proper treatment for that particular condition is to be put into a small room and left there by yourself for 4 hours with no human contact, and i must say that after four hours of it it went away. doctors are so smart anyway here is the nami website www.nami.orgdaniel
