May be I have asked this before, but is anyone or does anyone know any RN's with ADHD? Especially anyone who has worked as an office nurse? I had hospital nursing down pat but hated the weekends and holidays. The Tissue Bank I am now working in has me traveling a great deal. (93,000 miles on a 4 year old car) I also have to talk to families about possibly donating their deceased loved ones tissues. ( I am really tired of crying with moms of teenagers) plus other office tasks that I at times have difficulty with. I want to work with patients who are alive and can talk to me again. I have put in a transfer to another part of the institution where the Dr's offices are. I would just like to know if anybody out there knows a RN with ADHD who works in a Dr's office and how they handle the day to day thins, Thanks to everybody for all of their help

Hi Sweety, I am a registered nurse as well and work in cardiac medicine. I don't have any occupational advice to give as I am just biding my time until my youngest is in school all day every day. At that point I will be seeking the same information that you are seeking now. I know that I do not want to be doing this job for more than another year, at least not more than the contingent status I am now. Good luck with your search. Please share info. about the options you find out about, I have to start planning for the future.

I do have my routine down, that's for sure. What kills me is the period of absolute boredom from 01:00-0500. What kills me worse is the transition from absolute boredom to go-go-go that starts after 05:00. I am sick of midnights and sick of the hospital in general. I will be very intersted in hearing how your office position goes.
