Family Feud!!!

Just got back from my sister's house for xmas. Mom lives in a mobile home on sister's property about 30 feet from sis's back door. Mom is on oxygen for lung problems and gets tired easy. Mom and sis currently in big fight over nephew's wedding. No date time place etc. has been set. Both women have ideas and needless to say neither of them match in any way.The bride wants to get married in Mexico on their favorite beach which her father is willing to pay for but neither mom or sis likes that idea. Dr put me on xanax for 3 weeks, may have to up my prozac and strattera. I told both mom and sis about the xanax and the stress. With a 40+ hr week job, ds and her achievement tests coming up and life in general, I don't need this CRAP. It makes me feel bad that my mom is not in very good health to begin with but she doesn't need to be so pigheaded about this wedding. I have refereed these two women's fights for 40 years. I guess I just need to vent but I am eternally glad that I live 225 miles away and that I have my nephew's email address so I can talk to him with out the two of them interfereing. My blood pressure went up to 160/90, I had a dull headache and was tremoring all the time. New B/P meds fixed the headache and the B/P, the xanax fixed the tremoring, but no amount of any meds is going to make those two pigheaded intelligent Clark women agree on anything.

Sweety, I feel for ya . Boy cant families sometimes be a pain in the rear. I think we all have one or two that could use (no matter how much we love them ) a good swift kick. Fact is probably that your mom and sis couldn't survive without each other and their spit spats.
Hope things settle down or the bride and groom might thik about eloping.. ;D ;D ;D

My sis-in-law was trying to plan her wedding during her last semester in college. She finally decided to heck with it.

3 phone calls later, it was all arranged. She and my brother basically told the family, we're getting married on this day at this time in Las Vegas. Let us know if you're planning on coming.

Nothing wrong with eloping, saves the bride and grrom the headache of the day, BUT then they are some splaning to do

Step back and let them fight...sounds to me like they probably enjoy it

Sweety, I agree Linda; step ove and try to enjoy that fight, when you take some space between you and them, you´ll find some humorous thing´s about that

I hoe the bride and groom will keep their head cool and plan this like they want, mayby they can get mom´s out of the way..... OR they can elope

But everyone else is right Sweety - this is just NOT worth you getting ill about ... you just do not NEED this!! ...

At the end of the day I really hope that the bride and groom will do what tHEY want to do ... and in the meantime make the most of those miles between you and the feud!!
