**I'm posting this in case you'd be interested in participating in an interesting and helpful survey!)

Hello,
If your partner has (diagnosed or suspected) Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder, I'd like to invite you to participate in my research.
Currently, I am the Silicon Valley Coordinator for CHADD and I lead a
rapidly growing face-to-face support group for the partners in Palo Alto,
California. I also moderate an online support group called "ADHD Partner."
As a journalist of 25 years, I was amazed to learn how much ADHD can affect
partnerships yet how few people realize it (doctors and therapists
included). Determined to spread awareness on this subject, I started writing
a book, "Rollercoaster: Living with a Partner who has AD/HD."
Support group members have generously provided their stories, but I wanted
hard data to substantiate our anecdotes. So, I've launched a survey. Thus
far, 140 support group members have agreed to take it. But, I'd like to have
many more. Will you help? Those who've already taken it said they found it
educational and cathartic. Maybe you will, too!
To check my credentials, visit my website (below) and view excerpts from my
portfolio, including national-award-winning work for USA Weekend. I produced
two special reports based on national surveys of the nation's teenagers.
Instead of posting the link to the survey, I'm asking that you please
contact me first and then I'll send it to you individually. That way, I can
protect the validity of the survey by ensuring that those taking it are in
fact partners of people with AD/HD.
So, please write to me at gpera@rcn.com
The deadline to take the survey is October 24, 2004.
Thanks very much and I look forward to hearing from you!
