I have never been an alcoholic, nor a particularly heavy drinker, but when I was younger I had times that I would go out with my friends and "overdo" it, which usually resulted in an increasingly high price to pay. I would go into depression for nearly a week. The hangover would start a really nasty cycle for me. It was probably also depleting my vitamins that I wasn't getting nearly enough of -- for sure wasn't eating all that well back then.
Anyhow, I have decided that it is just too high of a price to pay to plunge into darkness and negativity. So, now I will only drink one drink on an occassion. I seem to have enough good things going on in my body that I can handle this. I have really concluded that my good state of mind is too precious to jeopardize with a cheap substance like alcohol.
