I am ADHD with narcolepsy. This was a real problem with my ADHD diagnosis because I often lacked the "H" except in socially stimulting situations.
Without meds, I tend to be very tired all day and am prone to nodding off. Going to sleep at night is sometimes instantaneous or it can take hours. So my answer to the poll was "other".
With the narcolepsy, I rarely linger in the rejuvenating stages of sleep. I tend to go straight to REM and wake several times a night. When I had my sleep studies, I adveraged over 30 cycles of waking and going to REM each night. I can't remember a time when I ever woke up "refreshed".

I have a heck of a time getting to sleep at night. I can take a two hour nap in the afternoon easy tho. And I can sleep as late as I'm left alone when I need to.
Just can't get to sleep at night for some reason.
I have very vivid dreams. Some of my dreams from childhood I still remember in THX and surround sound.
