Well, since I haven't seen you, and I have that obnoxious nibnose trait about me, what race is your husband. Like I've said somewhere before I'm a heinz 57, like my pop-pop used to call mutts if they weren't pure breeds. I got mostly German, (hence the hips), Welsh, Swedish, AND Blackfoot Indian. I only wish I tanned like the indian, but NOOOOOOO I have to so the burn peel, burn peel thing until the middle of summer, then I start to tan. Funny thing is my kids are even worse than I am. Hubby has German, (we have been telling his mom for years that German Jew is NOT a race , but can't tell her anything, she didn't make it past 9th grade I hate to admit) Irish, Swedish, Cherokee, and Hawaiian. I think there's something else, but I can't remember now, haven't had enough coffee yet Well Becky, at least your server is back up and running for now. OK, who's making the pop corn and mudslides ;D Kaiti

Kaiti, it is a little hard to say. His great-grandma was a, I think this is the polite way to say it, working girl?? And she had his grandpa with a Mexican/American Indian man. (she thinks) So my DH looks like a cross between Mexican and American Indian, but then others think he is Greek or Italian. His dad is German, so that is what he tells people, but no one beleives him, especially in the summer. He is actually darker skinned than many of the Mexican or Indian people that we know. If I can figure out how to post a picture I'll put one of us up. My MIL looks like Tina Turner, and my BIL, looks like he was adopted from Mexico. It is really sort of funny. People get all embaressed when they don't know what race you are, and they want to ask, but then don't, so DH gets a good kick out of it. He also gets that he looks like and Eskmino. Who knows? ? I just tell everyone, I don't know what he is, but he sure makes cute kids, so I'll keep him!! ;D

You could say he's from the islands or something... You know, Hawaii and that um, what's the word I'm looking for. I'll think if it later. My husband's Hawaiian and Indian care stand outs for him in the summer too. He used to do landscaping, so he used to get teased that they were going to send him back to Mexico with the rest of the summer help. I know, a little racey, but it's the truth. Not meant to be offensive, don't take it that way Kaiti

Becky, I have been reading Julie Garwood's "For the Roses" and I had to laugh about your DH. The story is about 4 boys, 3 orphans and 1 runaway slave. The lived on the streets of NYC in 1860. The move west to Montana to raise an orphan baby girl. To do that, they decide to be brothers. As adults, they all stay together, with their sister. When a stranger comes to town, he is trying to figure out how the girl can be related to the one boy, she thinks they are Irish. So they let him. Then he meets another brother who looks Italian... then another who doesn't look like any of them. Finally, he meets the black brother, and starts laughing when he realizes he couldn't possible be Irish!
You need to come up with something so far fetched that people stop questioning~ like he is SWEETISH, (not swedish), or maybe you can suggest that he is a German~albino mix. That doesn't make an sense, so it will make people stop and ponder!
I am cruel, and I apologize... again no insults intended to any one (remember I am half Irish and half Polish... therefore 1/2 the time I can't do things right, and 1/2 the time I won't do things right ;D)

At least he is really good natured about it. The area we live in is highly pouplated with Mexicans and Am. Indians. So there are like 3 distinct groups of people, well we get along with all three b/c of Jerry's looks, and I get in b/c I married him! Oh yes, he has become quite pouplar around here. ;D

First order of business: we need trash bags. I wore my last one and with new memebers coming in, we want them to feel welcomed and apart of the group. Beginners start with White trash bags and when you are President like me You get a red one. Now, where'd that bag go any how? ;D Kaiti

Isn't that funny?? Plus this web camara makes us really look brighter in the face. I think I am going to take all of my pictures with it, usually I am as white as a sheet and it takes LOTS of eye make-up to not look dead!
