I've picked up a new hobby. Crocheting. I've been taught how to make my stitches turn around (instead of just having one long string) and am now working on making a pouch to wear with my medieval garb. Yay!
People are allowed to crochet at work too, so I will have plenty of time to work on stuff. ;D
What do y'all do to keep yourselves out of trouble (or in it, if you do it when you shouldn't be...)?

I really enjoy reading. It's funny, I've noticed lots of posts about people talking about how much they read, when as ADHD'ers, shouldn't we be the opposite? I read whjenever I get a chance, which isn't often with an ADHD 6 year old. So I've learned to steal time. Reading and bathtubs don't mix well...I've got a lot of water-damaged books. I'm one of the lucky few who can read in a car without getting sick (I only read as a passenger, I promise). When I have a really good book going, I don't get much sleep. I read at my desk during my lunch hour. I also play co-ed softball in the fall. LOVE it!

I love to read also. I think it works with adhder's because what they are reading holds their interest. I can't say much about other hobbies because I usually lose interest after a short while and don't follow through.

Ditto on the reading. Unfortunately I get about 3/4 the way through a book and start another. I have about 6 unfinished at this time. One other hobby I have is called getting ready for Christmas at our house ;D. I am running around like crazy after my son goes to sleep. Summer times I enjoy biking by myself early in the morning out in the country. Miles

I love reading, espeically Danielle Steel. I can eaisly read a whole bbok of hers in a day and then I get bored b/c I read it too fast!!
I am also addicted to video games. Sounds funny, 26 yr old mom of 2 little kids playing Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros, after I get them to bed. I was upset when my mom refused to give me money for a Nintendo Gamecube for Christmas. I really have to get a life. Maybe someone can suggest something a little more um...my age??? ;D ;D

What's wrong with video games? I have a Solitare game stashed in the bathroom drawer.
I love to read and bake cookies, breads, brownies...all that good stuff. Don't like to cook too much, but give me the sweets!
Hubby loves to build electronic things that light up and make noises. He's also a computer nerd. He likes to fix things and also take them apart and put them back together with parts from another one to see if it will work better that way.
DD is an athlete. There's a basketball hoop and a pitch back for softball in the backyard. She loves her GameBoy and watching Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel.

I was never able to read until I started taking ritalin. I can't tell you how many times I would read a page and then have to go back and reread it because I didn't pay attention to anything I just read. It happened all the time and was so frustrating. This was before I was diagnosed so I always got the "pay attention" lecture.
Now I love to read. I am always reading something, I guess I have some catching up to do.

I love to crochet too, my only problem is that I have about 20 projects started(mostly afgans) that I get about half way through then get bored. So they sit around until I feel like looking at the colors again. My best bet for when I crochet is to make coasters for the coffee table, or if I'm really THAT bored, I'll make wash cloth after washcloth. I did that one year, OMG, mom, sis, grand mom, MIL and SIL all got wash cloth sets with matching towels. I was tasteful enough to use different colors for them I also like to sew, so(no pun intended) I have made most of the curtains for our house. I usually go a couple of seasons and then want to change the look in a room. Since we have 12 ft ceilings and windows to match, It's cheaper fo me to make my own. One more thing, I like to try to fix our house back up to rights. It's an old 1852 Victorian type. 3 story brick. Mostly original windows and such. I just love to go back in time and wonder what the Ewans'( the house is pretty much known as the Ewan House) would have done to keep the house up. Sorry So Long Kaiti

Kaiti, I thought my house was old, but you've really got me beat! Mine was built in 1924, but it's not on the original lot. From talking to neighbors I know it was moved here in the 1950s. I would love to research the history, but I'm not sure where to start.

Well, our town is so small. I know that Mr. Ewan had owned the Merchandise store that is on the corner, our house is RIGHT next to it. When my dad was little, Mr. Ewan used to ring the Fire bell and set off the alarms in town to alert every one. We hear that It used to be a funeral home, but I'm still trying to decifer that one. I'm not too sure since people used to lay in waiting at their house back then. There is a couple books about our town that I haven't had time to go through yet for Alloway. Your best bet is to type the name of your town into the search engine and go from there. I did that with my maiden name AND married name. My husband was always told our last name was French, but when I looked up our last name, EVERYTHING was German. Nothing against France, but my family has proud Kraut Blood I hope this helped a little. Oh, and don't be afraid to ask questions to people who previously lived in your house. They might know a little something. Good Luck Kaiti-who still has a million craft projects started but not finished
