I would like to say that I have taken Ritalin it didn't do any thing to me. So I tried Concerta it worked ok if you ask me but it made my BP go up high. So my Dr. took me off it. Now she got me on AdderallXr 10mg. I'm tried of taking all these different medications. Sometimes I get a little frustrated about things. Living with ADD is no joke

I take 54mg of Concerta also. I am newly diagnosed, so this is my third month. My 12 yr daughter has been taking Concerta for about 1 year.
At first the Concerta made me a little speedy at first. Now I don't even feel it too much. It does help give me a boost in the morning, and keeps me focused during the day.
Has anyone taking ADD medication ever take Valium also? I had an anxiety attack (thought it was a heart attack) and the doctors gave me 5mg of Valium. It really helped. Now I am wondering if Valium is a common drug prescribed for people with ADD.
P.S. I am also on 40mg of Paxil.

Hi Candy, Valium is addicting so they do not give it much anymore. I am also on Paxil. I just started Strattera and I will see if it helps. Thanks for posting! Allen

My husband started Strattera five days ago, he hasn't taken any other meds before. My daughter also takes Strattera, she has been on both Ritalin and Concerta. The Ritalin started wearing off too quickly, and the Concerta affected her eating and sleeping. Strattera is working well for her. Jury's still out on how it's working for my husband.

Had my first appointment with the phsyc. today.. He was going to put me on stratera......'till he checked my BP. Now I have to go to my family doc to get my BP checked before he puts me on any.

Mary thank you for sharing that with me.
Scoty I am glad to see you getting your BP taken care of. I had two 90% blockages in heart this summer.
