I am new to this board but wanted to come and tell you my story. I to have a 8 year old son who is adhd. I have been trying to find something natural to put him on to help him. I am scared to death of putting him on prescriptions that will alter his brain chemistry and change the little boy that I love and cherish. He figets in class, losses his pencil, can't keep up, falls behind in school, slow in sports, talks alot!!, almost failed the 2nd grade last year, can't stay on task, writes his letters and number backwards sometimes, ect... The good...I started him on Listol (2 pills) and Liquid Omega 3's (2 tbls. spoons) given both in the morning before breakfast. It has been 4 weeks on the Omega 3's and 2 weeks on the Listol. Well Dustin has gotten Excellents for the past 5 school days..I talked to his teacher and she said he is doing much much better and his football has improved 100% and he running faster. Let me tell you I am loving this stuff and I wanted to share my good experience so far. God bless and email me if you have any questions.

Listol is an ADHD "remedy". It contains magnesium and a number of substances that are or may be cholinergic (that is, work to increase the neurotransmitter choline).
It contains magnesium (300mg)...one of the essential supplements for adhd
dmae (350mg), a cholinergic
n-acetyl-cysteine (100mg), required for production of glutathione. This is a sub-therapeutic dose, however.
huperzine (100mcg), another cholinergic
P5P (15mg), active form of Vitamin B6. Will help some kids, will make some worse. ALWAYS test this vitamin separately first to determine whether your child will react well or badly to it.
Folic acid (400mcg), this will be included in any multi-vitamin. It's essential to healthy blood cells, nerve cells, and protein metabolism.
Lecithin (25mg), also cholinergic. There's so little in here, though, that it doesn't really count. A therapeutic dose of lecithin is measured in the thousands of mg.
Olive leaf extract (15mg), an anti-microbial, lowers blood sugar and blood pressure. Typical dose is 400mg, so there's really not enough in here to achieve much therapeutically. It may function as a preservative?
You can duplicate the key ingredients in Listol easily, at about half of what you'll pay for this product. At the same time you'll get a therapeutic dose of those ingredients not present here in sufficient quantity. Cholinergics have been shown clinically to improve memory. Hyperactivity, inattentiveness and impulsivity are another story...

I really don't know about buying all the ingrediants seperately nor do I think I would want to. That is too many pills for me to try to get a 8 year old to take. I am simply saying that my son was doing horribly in school and couldn't focus and stay on task and he is doing better know. Much better and if I can help just one parent who felt just like I did (like I had no alternatives except prescription or live with how he was) then i will. I am not a doctor nor am I saying that this combination will do good for you as it is doing for me. All I am saying is that it is working for me and at $80.00 for a 4 month supply I think it is very affordable.
