Hi Everyone!!!
Has anyone here used any of the bontech products from Bonnie Grimaldi's website?... If so, did they work for you? What has been your experience with them?
I am considering this for Gabriel's tics and want some feedback from anyone that has used them. Thanks a lot.

Sorry, haven't tried them. My Challenge Boy's vocal tics disappeared when we went on a gluten-free diet, so we were very lucky to find such a simple and effective solution.
I think the bon-tech supplements look well thought out and well formulated but before trying them, I'd get a bottle of B6 and make sure your boy isn't going to react badly to it. The Ts-plus contains a lot of B6 and it would be too bad to purchase it only to find gabriel can't take the B6.
Also, if you have corn syrup issues, be aware that the bon-tech calcium is a citrate, normally derived from corn syrup. Other than those two cautions, there probably isn't much in there to cause adverse reactions.

Thanks a lot Cat!!!
I will do what you suggest and try the B6 first. What reactions should I look for?.. will he get violent or something? or is it more pysical symptoms like upset stomach?

My son doesn't show any physical symptoms, but he definitely gets hyper, oppositional and just generally ugly. It takes several days to build up to a really noticeable level. I know Rocco's son has trouble with B6 as well, so maybe she can contribute some more symptoms to look for.

Oh wow Cat!!
That scares me. I don't think that I can handle ugly. Hmm...I don't know what to do. I will have to think about this.
I haven't even started giving him the mag tablets for fear of him getting ugly although he didn't get ugly when I was giving it to him before. But, he is on concerta and clonodine now so I don''t know if he can take the magnesium. Can he?....

Joshua, The "ugly" is a relatively mild version...perhaps more accurately "unattractive". I don't know of any potential problems with taking magnesium along with either of the meds.

I took the list of ingredients and bought it separately a couple of months ago. It's tough getting the kiddo to swallow all the pills day in and day out. My kiddo takes clonidine as well for his tics so it's hard to say if it's really helping. If I do see him ticcing late in the day, I give him a no flush niacin tab like she says to give throughout the day. That seems to help. Despite the clonidine and the vitamin regime, he still tics under pressure. Like at homework time when I'm standing over him trying to hurry him along.

Hi AMC:
My son is also on clonidine but it doesn't seem to be helping. I have notice however, that since school started, his tics have reduced significantly; to the point that he is hardly ticcing at all now. I can only assume that the anxiety of going back to school and possible having bullies again this year was not letting him stop ticcing. Gabriel's tics have always been emotional. He tics when he is worried, stressed or anxious about something. Once he works through whatever issue he is having, the tics dissapear completely. This time around however, they lasted from May til September. The only thing that has changed since then is that school has started and his new teacher is a strict disciplinarian that does not tolerate any kind of teasing and although he has some of the same kids from last year in his class, including 3 of the kids that teased him last year, he has not complained to me about them at all. I asked him yesterday how things were going in school and his answer was "good". Anyway, I guess his tics were due to the anxiety of going back to school and believing that he would be teased and bullied again this year. I can only wait and see what happens.
Thanks for listening. Joshua

That's great that he doesn't have to worry about bullying this year! I've warned my kiddo along time ago about possible bullying/teasing. It hasn't happened yet - knock on wood. I'm thinking middle school could be a bad time.
