I'm still in the search for a good Omega-3 product. Laura Steven had given me a couple of recommendations but most were pretty large capsules which I know my son wouldn't be able to take. I found this one of the internet. Anyone have any experience with this product. The folks in the U.K. rate it pretty high in regards to purity (extremely low or no contaminants detected as compared to other oils) and have read several good reports about it, but as with everything I don't necessarily always believe what I see on the web without asking the Pro's (you all) for guidance. Eskimo-3 liquid: Each 5ml typically contains: Omega 3 Fatty Acids - 1500mg of which EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) - 750mg DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) - 500mg Natural Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) -14mg Available in either lemon flavored or an all natural tutti-fruiti flavor (not that I believe tutti-fruiti is all natural). I'm also going to start my son on magnesium citrate as Ms. Stevens recommended. Any inputs on which one? Do I need to incorporate calcium supplements also? As always your inputs are greatly appreciated!!!!! Regards, Tom

Good product...and 5ml is an ideal dose. Watch carefully, though, in case the flavoring additives are not well-tolerated. (That's the problem we have with Nordic Naturals - the lemon oil flavoring causes undesirable reactions.) On the other hand, my 4-year-old takes lemon flavored NN without any obvious problem, so hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones! Unless you're non-dairy or consume few dairy products, a calcium supplement should be unnecessary. The thought of magnesium citrate still gives me nightmares! Citric acid is made from corn syrup and my beloved Challenge Boy is really scary on corn syrup! That's why we can't do Vitamin C or any citrate compounds -- the blasted corn syrup. If your boy does react to the citrate, it should become apparent pretty quickly...increased hyperactivity, oppositional behavior, difficulty controlling temper...typical corn syrup symptoms. If you don't have problems with corn syrup, then hopefully you'll do fine with mag citrate. If it is a problem, take a look at the kirkman labs magnesium glycinate powder: www.kirkmanlabs.com/products/antioxidant/mag_glycinate/Mag_glyc_P_4_spec092.htmlFor those who think I'm nuts for saying citric acid comes from corn rather than citrus fruit... www.corn.org/web/cachpt2-2.htm
