Hi JakesMom and welcome, I've looked at the Focus product a number of times but have not personally tried it. It contains several herbs (such as chamomile, gotu kola, gingko) that may do some good in reducing ADHD symptoms, and some other herbs that probably won't do much at all. I doubt it could do any harm, but if you're expectation is to use it as a replacement for Ritalin, I would guess you're doomed to disappointment. It's been my experience that in order to avoid medication, a more comprehensive natural treatment protocol is required. Dietary modifications. Nutritional supplements. Herbals as kind of an "icing on the cake". If you'd like to go off Ritalin, you might want to look at a couple of resources, including: "12 Effective Ways to Help Your ADD/ADHD Child" by Laura STevens "Is This Your Child" by Dr. Doris Rapp The Feingold Association website at www.feingold.orgMore information on dietary modifications at www.borntoexplore.org/nutrition.htmDr. Daniel Amen's ADHD "brain checklist" at www.brainplace.com/bp/checklist/
