:)Hi Im looking for a mag/cal supplement for my 6 year old. SHe has been taking just the mag 100mgs twice a day actually I do a pill and a half twice a day for 300 mg. she does fine with this, but I wanted to add the calcium. And have 1 pill with 300 mg of mag so I can just cut it in half twice a day. Tried Iherb.com but didn't find one there. SHe is about 47 #'s. Also, is it better to break up the dosage like that or would it be ok to give the whole amount at night? Thanks for any suggestions. Lisa

I like breaking up the dose since excess minerals are excreted out in the urine. Smaller, more frequent doses allow more of it to be utilized. On magnesium...this one doesn't exactly meet your specifications, since you'd need to use 3 tablets, but it's a good chelated magnesium with calcium added as well: www.iherb.com/magnesiumsn.htmlMy personal favorite, though, is the Source Naturals "Life Minerals" which comes in both iron and iron-free varieties. www.iherb.com/lifeminerals.html
