DS, 21, had a bad reaction to Adderall at the beginning of September, and now can't take any stims. He has been having a very difficult time at college as a result. He has been having so much trouble concentrating that he has been considering taking a medical leave. He's been feeling very depressed and discouraged over this. A few days ago I realized we had lost track of the Omega 3 supplements he used to take for concentration. I overnighted a package to him with Natural Factors Learning Factors, Pycnogenol, DMG, and magnesium, and he began taking them only yesterday morning. He was dreading an economics exam, saying he wasn't sure he could pass it. Economics is NOT one of his interests! To make a long story short, he called me this morning right after the exam to say that he had done REALLY WELL on it, and attributed his success to the supplements!!!! Honestly, this is the first time he's sounded so cheerful and confident. He says he feels he has "turned a corner". I am completely THRILLED!!! I do Reiki, and when he called last night to say he had the exam this morning, I immediately did an absent Reiki treatment on him for concentration. I also did one this morning before his exam. WHO KNOWS what helped--I'm just so happy that something did!! DH and I have been prepared to drive 12 hours to his college, pack him up, and bring him home...now it looks like he can stay there and even do well! HOORAY for the supplements!!!!!! ;D

Great work! I am thrilled that he has turned the corner. I'll keep his improvement in my prayers. I have always been fascinated with Reiki as a distance treatment. When I had it done, I was amazed at the energy transfer, but he was right there within my reach. I am not sure I understand a distance treatment. Where does he go to school that it is such a long drive to pick him up? How does energy transfer SO far? I don't want to sound nosey, but it is curiosity. I grew up in MA, so I am thinking he must be in Pittsburgh or Ohio, or maybe in Georgia? Anyway, just glad that things are working out for him now. Laurie

You're right, Laurie--he's in Oberlin, Ohio! It's about an 11 1/2 hour drive from our house right outside of Boston, with very few stops. According to what I learned in my Reiki classes, there is no limit to how far the Reiki energy can travel. You just have to learn the method for giving an absent treatment. It differs in some ways from a hands-on treatment. I've had an absent treatment sent to me by my teacher, and I could feel it the moment she started! It's not necessary to understand exactly HOW it happens--you just have to understand that it can and DOES happen!
