We've been doing supplements (magnesium, fish oil, multi vite) since the end of May. The begining of school was rough... , and I was getting discouraged. DS teacher called a meeting end of September. Told me that she was soooo frustrated... the week before... now things seem good . Two weeks later, still getting good reports. No unfinished assignments for TWO WEEKS! ;D ;D ;D My prayers and continued badgering to "take your vitamins!" seems to be paying off. Trying not to look the "gift horse in the mouth", yet also trying to enjoy the moment! Bunny

All right, Bunny, way to go ;D
I think it took us about 6 weeks to begin to see results, but probably twice as long before I noticed any real difference in terms of school work and school behavior. Are you doing any other type of treatments along with the supplements?
I had one of those ugly conferences in September as well. My son got off to a terrible start to the school year. I started giving him the Nordic Naturals fish oil the day school started (we'd used the Rx-Omega-3 until then). Three weeks later, he was falling apart, talking all the time, not completing homework, bombing tests, had a grade of 50 in math. I was TOO SLOW on the uptake, and it took me 3 weeks to suspect the lemon oil in the Nordic Naturals might be causing him problems. I switched him back to the Natural Factors Rx-Omega-3, and within a couple of days, his teachers told me how much better he was behaving and how much more responsible and organized he was. His math grade has come up to a respectable 85, and he actually got a 100 on his last social studies test. I still feel awful about the whole mess, but I'm so grateful to have him back on track.
So there are certainly ups and downs! I hope you continue to have such great results. Your son is lucky to have such a loving, commited mom ;D

Ok, maybe I spoke too soon. Last weeks assignments came home, and there were several incompletes. He had about 10 papers marked 100%, then out of nowhere comes a 6% . Yikes... what's that about. I think he must have panicked or spaced out or something. I can't believe the spread on his grades. It's either most all correct or completely failing. No middle ground for him. Report cards should be interesting!
