Although I have always said prayers for my kids, I have recently "released them to God". I'm in a bible study group that is focusing on "How to be a Praying Parent". This is helping give me peace that I will be lead to either continue my current course with my son, or consider meds... . Since this is a decision I stuggle with, it feels good to do the best job I can, and hope (pray!) that things fall into place.

I can't tell you how many times I've prayed about this very question. I don't even know if I have the wisdom to recognize an answer if I got one. But I keep hoping.

I pray all the time to be granted some type of knowlege. And since I found this place, at least one of my prayers have been answered

Lately prayer is the ONLY thing that has helped keep me sane and hopeful. I have to "offer it up" time after time every day! I feel like how happy and able to enjoy life I am increases directly in proportion to how little I feel the need to control the outcome. Did that make sense? LOL Oh well I'm sure you get my drift

Does the phrase OH JESUS count? If it does, I pray a whole lot during the day

Was that meant to be offensive? I hope not...but that's the way it came across to me.

NO NO NO
I'm sorry it was taken that way, please accept my apologies.
More or less like the "How many times have I said it and I am talking to a wall, do they ever listen"
Not meant to take His name in Vain, rest assured

I will again apologize for it being taken the wrong way, as we all deal with things in different ways.

You asked "Who's praying?" Well count me in! One of the amazing things about prayer are the things that you pray for and you don't seem to get an answer - and then some time down the road, you look back and the answer is clear. Do you know what I mean? The answer may have come so slowly that you didn't recognize it or it didn't take the form you assumed it would. But when you look back, there it is - and you can see God's hand all over it. Praise God He does answer prayers, especially those of stressed out, desperate parents!

I agree Horst. Just when you think you can't handle it anymore, you know He's looking out for you because He throws an Angel at you to help. I am always thankful for those moments, and we have to remember that sometimes they go unanswered because God knows that we can handle it, we just have to figure it out sometimes.
