So, anybody have any results to report after trying alternative treatments?

Well, by sticking with Feingold, we have enough of a result, for the time being any how. I have been thinking about suppliments and all, but with not working in the summer, I just make sure to jam pack him with nutritious food.
What has worked for you newshound?

We will remain on the Feingold diet for the rest of our natural lives (which will probably be quite a bit longer thanks to the diet!) I still think of Feingold as practically a miracle for my son. It didn't suddenly turn him "normal", and he continues to struggle with attentiveness, but the overwhelming hyperness, the oppositional behavior, the tantrums, the night wanderings and sleeplessness...well, we just don't really have to deal with those much anymore. We have to be extremely careful to follow the program strictly or those behaviors return, and so we ARE extremely careful, and I have a child I can like and enjoy. (That wasn't the case for a while!)
Supplements have made inroads into the attentiveness problem, but this is still not an easy area for us. Omega-3, magnesium and tyrosine have been the most helpful. He can keep his grades in the A/B range, but it takes effort. He just isn't present on this planet for entire chunks of instruction in school. He's behaving well in class, at least, though sometimes talks too much. He'll normally sit down and do his homework cooperatively. Overall, I think we've been very successful, but there are some areas that could use more improvement.

I'm currently into the second week of Omega 3. Not sure of the results, but his main teacher isn't complaining about him. Have to check with the reading and resource room teachers.
