I am a little skeptical about some of the alternative medicine things, but just noticed something I thought was interesting. When we visited a Naturopath last fall, she commented on the yellow circles around Austin's pupils (his eyes are green), and said it was from toxins. I didn't really think about it much, but tonight, I noticed the circles are gone. So I started looking up some info on the internet and read about iridology--the study of the iris as it relates to health. The iris is mapped out for parts of the body like the feet are with reflexology. So the part of Austin's eyes that were yellow cooresponded to the colon and intestines--which really fits with out situation. Not that this means anything in particular, but I just thought it was interesting that the circles are gone now.

I did a study of iridology some years ago and found it to be a credible practice. I have several books, still packed from moving, about this from Dr. Bernard Jensen and Dr. Christopher.
It can tell you very interesting things about your health. If I ever get my library built and can unpack these treasures I will post more on the subject.

OK now I'm worried because I have yellow circles around my irises and I'm pregnant! I checked on-line to try and find more info about this but only found web-site to people who practice it. What I want to know is what kind of toxicity (are there different kinds?) causes this and can it hurt the baby? How do I get rid of it? I try to stick to the same Feingold program as my kids...maybe I should try harder! I'm going to double my water intake starting today but if anyone can give me any input for a safe cleansing ritual for a preggie (8 months) please let me know!
P.S. I checked and both my kids irises looked georgeous with no yellow.
