Does anyone give their child epsom salts baths? It's supposed to have a calming effect on them. Could this help with anxiety?

I've heard a lot of people say epsom salts baths calm their kids down. We just use them for fun. I make mixed bath salts (epsom salt, sea salt, citric acid) and spritz them with essential oil (lavender is particularly calming) and then form them into balls when they are barely moist enough to hold together and let them dry hard on a baking sheet. They fizz and smell great when you toss them in the tub. I think baths in general are very soothing. I don't know that the epsom salts or essential oils contribute anything additional, but they sure don't hurt. A number of vitamins may be helpful for anxiety, particularly the B-complex vitamins and among them vitamin B6 and B1 especially. Magnesium also will reduce anxiety.
