Because Alla is dying of evil things such as throat viruses and coughs, she has been looking for a good cough syrup. Eckerd-brand Night Time Cold Formula seems to work rather rather well as coughing is not her main problem, but it has all the weird reds and blues in it. Does anybody make a cough syrup that they don't color? Alla randomly attempts to stay away from colors *shoves her Fanta Orange bottle in the trash can*.

Contac 12-hour is free of additives. So are any "Tom's of Maine" products, which I know Target has begun carrying. They make a Eucalyptus Cough Suppressant, a Natural Nasal Decongestant and Adult Cold Formula (daytime and nighttime). There are also Fisherman's Friend Cough Suppressant Lozenges, which our health food store carries, although I don't know if they're nationwide. You can also find a Celestial Seasonings tea called "Throat Soothers" which works really well, especially gooped up with honey.

We use B&T (from health food store) Cough and Bronchial Syrup. It's homeopathic, completely clear of colors, flavors, nasties.
Honestly, it is simply the BEST product we've ever used. Works every time. Even with asthma.

i purchase all OTC products from wal-mart in the diabetic section. there's cold, flu, pain relievers, etc. that are clear and free of any added no-nos. relatively inexpensive, too! look in the pharmacy, usually located by the pharmacist's window. 1mom

Growing up mom bought us theraflu, but cheap old me doesn't feel like spending the money, so I improvise with Hot lemonade. Tastes the same, works the same. Alot cheaper too. lemon juice(add some water if it's concentrated) honey if you want sweetened, then nuke it .
Works for us Kaiti

Savon-Osco makes sugar-free color-free stuff. I have Tussin DM and Menthol Eucalyptus cough drops. The Tussin still tastes the same, but the cough drops sure don't.
