There are some here who say they used this product and had success. I am not one.
This has the following ingredients: 5HTP............. ........................................................5mg Calcium ........ .......................................................50mg Magnesium .... ......................................................25mg B6 ......................................................................... 1mg Folic acid ..............................................................0.1mg Glutamine.............................................................150mg Phenylalanine ........................................................300mg
My investigation of these ingredients has shown that it has no true value in helping a serious brain disorder. The amounts are too low to be therapeutic for treatment of any disorder in my opinion. If you will look at almost any daily vitamin/mineral tablet and compare it with this you will find a better balance of what is needed in a necessary supplement. Then you will need to add additional vitamins to compensate for what you are trying to accomplish. I'll let Cat comment on that.
The main thing I have found to help is the omega 3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA) and vitamins, diet, exercise, and behavioral management. I am also using an anticonvulsant on one of my boys for temporal lobe problems.
So, even though they have one hell of an advertising campaign targeted at parents who will try anything I give this a big thumbs down.

BeCalm'd comes up a lot. I know there are some people who have reported success with it, but most have not. For those who have found it successful, I suspect that it is due to the glutamine which is present in insufficient quantities for true treatment, but enough for those who are sensitive to it. Take a look at a previous thread on BeCalm'd: adhdsupport.proboards23.com/index.cgi?board=natural&action=display&thread=1068384734I join OhMama in a thumbs down, as well as in supporting the use of fatty acids, vitamins, diet, exercise and behavior management.

I agree with OhMama and Catatonic ... We had a 3-month supply of this shipped from the US (I am in the UK) and I had great hopes ... but ended up completely disappointed... we gave it a very good trial but it honestly made NO DIFFERENCE to my son whatsoever ... I think the advertisers of B'Calmed have done a very good job because you will find it very easily when doing any search on the web!! ... but as for the "goods matching the description" ... certainly not for us!!
