Anyone out there using a product called OPC? If so, how is it working? Thanks, Sue

OPC is an antioxidant derived from grape seed or pine bark or pycnogenol. We don't currently use it because of my concern that it may contain too many salicylates for my son. We use Vitamin E, but reports are that OPC is much more powerful.
I think antioxidants, whichever type you select, are very important for ADHD particularly, but also for everyone's general health. The antioxidants are critical because they protect the brain's lipids (fats) from damage by free radicals. If you use essential fatty acid supplements, you ought to take an antioxidant along with them to insure that the body will be able to make use of the EFA's and to protect DHA, which is particularly vulnerable to free radical damage. (Free radical damage is implicated in asthma, parkinsons disease, cancer and diabetes.)
So while I don't have a specific experience to relate with OPC, I do highly recommend selecting some type of antioxidant and providing it regularly.
