I have a question. Has anyone tried aromatherapy with their children? Does anyone know if this works? My son was doing awesome in school and home until 2 weeks ago, then he went to hell after that. It was like someone flipped a switch. I have gone over everything and the only thing that is different is that is about the time I bought some Peppermint oil at the health food store and have been using it on a daily basis at home. I was wondering if this is the cause or just a very strange coincidence.

The best thing is to probably remove the peppermint oil and see if you notice a change. Interesting.

Yesterday was the last time the Peppermint oil was used. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for the reply

You know there was a good discussion about this at ADHD.com. ( I wish we still had access to the archives ) The discussion involved ADHD children having trouble with sensory issues (such as Sensory Integration Dysfunction) and more specifically with smells. I know I have to use lotion on my son from head to toe every single day or he breaks out with a bad case of eczema. I have to use a very mild lotion on him though because he just has wierd reactions to very strong smelling lotion. Maybe your son is in fact having a reaction to the Peppermint Oil. It is strange some of the things our dear children have problems with! Good idea to discontinue and see what happens. Let us know the outcome! Kimmers
