I should have posted this yesterday but I need to brag on my child a little (for a change).
Seems she had quite the day at swimming yesterday. Her breast stroke, which used to be her worst stroke, has improved immensely! She was clocked at 1 minute 4 seconds yesterday swimming the free style 150 meters!! I have to admit I don't know much about swimming and good times but from what I've seen on the internet looking at best times for past meets, that is very good!
Her coach also bragged on her quite a bit for perfecting the flip-turn and used hers as an example for others to see how best to do it!
She is really doing well in this and has come a long way in the six weeks since she started it. She has found the niche!! This week is her last week in the summer program. She found out last Thursday that only a select few would be going on for the final two weeks and it would cost an addt'l 25.00. Since we're on vacation next week it would be 25.00 for us for just one week, but she said she really wanted to continue on because four more days (and now he has extended it until Friday so it will be five) of one on one time with Coach would do her good. Dedication has arrived! Coach says he wants her in the hurricanes when they start back up mid-August. He said she has drive, potential, and most importantly she likes it and is having fun and doing it for those reasons.
I am proud of her!!!
