Tonites game, the bottom of the final inning, we are up by two runs, the other team is up with 2 outs, bases are loaded and then there is a hit, a line drive to center field...two infielders miss it and it goes straight to Jake...mom and dad gringe the coaches (dad is one of them) can't even look, the game goes into slow motion and Jake scoops up the ball, throws it to the second baseman who gets the runner out ending the game! The crowd goes wild and Jake is being hugged and high fived by all his team mates! His smile is from ear to ear! He is calm, cool and collected and we are all screaming and celebrating!!!! Way to go Jake! You saved the game!!! Our first win!
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow.
That is so exciting to hear....I think our kids are really great at playing ball.I would have loved to have seened the look on Jake's face
