Saturday evening Shaun crossed-over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. He was the only one of 11 boys who earned all 20 activity pins as a Webelo Scout!
Patrick was awared the Den Chief Award, and he now gets to wear the cord over his shoulder on his dress uniform.
Michael competed (fractured shoulder and all) in a JROTC drill competion. His batallion brought home trophies in 4 of the 6 disciplines, and they earned a 2nd place trophy for the Overall Unarmed Division.
Michael was on the 3rd place Color Guard and the 4th place Armed Platoon. One hour before the competion was over, their Colonel told his XO to "pull together an armed squad and go perform". She picked 6 cadets from the platoon, and they stepped out onto the floor without any practice. THEY TOOK SECOND PLACE!
Just imagine if they had prepared for it, and if Michael didn't have an arm fracture!
Oh, and DH also was given a prize for a million years of Cub/Boy Scout Leader service!
