I got as call from my mother Saturday evening. It was the first time in a very long time I received a call like this from her. She left me a long, silly, and happy message on my answering machine about how she had spent the day putting up her Christmas decorations (yes I know, before Thanksgiving) and she now had not one, but two trees in her house, yada, yada, yada, silly, silly. I called her back and she was so jovial and it was so good to hear!! She has been feeling better and now that she has finally got some income coming in she is able to breathe easier. She has finished all of her Christmas shopping and even though she wasn't supposed to , she has bought presents for everyone in the family. We went by there yesterday to see her decor. She said she is so excited and "really looking forward" to Christmas this year. I tell you, again, it was so good to hear and see her this way. This is my mom of old. The mom that loves christmas and decorate real early. Last year she was so depressed and actually said Christmas would be "just another day" to her. I am really looking forward to it now myself, just to see her happy.

Well...yesterday wasn't such a good one for her. First of all she had dialysis in the morning... on yes... Thanksgiving day. Well, she fell while there. She has been falling quite a bit lately. While standing of walking her legs just give. She thinks the MS might be starting to "kick in". Anyway, when she fell she hit her knee pretty bad. She has bad knees anyway and the fall caused a very big knot and bruise. She was hurting most of the day yesterday. Bless her heart, her bypass surgery was on Thanksgiving day a few years ago... Thanksgiving just isn't her day. Sorry to put a downer in my own happy post..... I just worry about her so.
Here's to hoping her Christmas day will be MUCH MUCH better!
