;DOliva's been coming home since school started, talking about this ACE program at school. She gets pulled out of her classes once a day "to do math and science" Well, the adhd mom in me of course thought that this was some kind of special (not in a good way) class, and to be honest, I was about to explode on her teacher for not contacting me about it! Thank goodness cooler heads prevailed and I contacted the teacher for an explanation of what this ACE thing is......turns out it is for the SMARTEST kids in the class - they get "academically challenged" and it's a GOOD thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
I am so glad that she's doing well - there's a variety of criteria for the selection - not just standardized tests but also teacher recommendation - so I guess it's a good measure of how she's doing overall!!!!
We've been pretty lucky so far - most of her teachers were not even aware she has adhd until I tell them (speaks volume for communication between teachers!) This year I haven't said anything to her new teacher, so I don't know if she knows or not. They usually find out the first day I forget her meds
then it is like, who IS this child? But anyway, I AM SO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

And you have all the reason´s to be proud of her, let her know that too. You can tell that a mom from Finland tell´s her ; Great job, keep on it
