I just had to share. Yesterday, I got a note from Adina's teacher. (8yo, ADHD 2nd grade) that says: Adina is trying so much harder than before! I can see a lot of progress with this effort. Work with her consistently at home on her homework - This will let you know where she needs help. I'm still bubbling with pride today! The teacher also sent another note home, and said that she should only work on Math for 15-20 minutes with our help. She'll accept whatever is completed as long as there is a note from us. She even recognized the stress it would cause for me having to spend 2+ hours on one Math paper. I just can't explain how happy I am with my girl's progress! Now if I can just be consistent with the homework. HUGE downfall for me as I'm ADD and get distracted by the two other kids, the dishes, etc. Beckie

Laura, I really don't know what the change has been. I honestly think it's the change in medication. She was on AdderallXr, but it was causing weight loss issues. I didn't think that it was the problem with school issues as she seemed to be doing a bit better than before taking it. Anyway, we changed to Concerta a month ago, and I can only assume that it's made a world of difference for her.

I also have to share some good news. My Son 6 years first grade ADHD, we had his first teacher conference on Fri. It was awesome. She said since we began meds he has done a complete turnaround. He is still a little bored with the Math because he is so much ahead of the rest of the first graders so she is trying to give him more challenging work. We are so proud of him and you can tell he is pretty pleased with himself now.....He actually enjoys going to school each day now.
