I read somewhere once, that you eat alot of sand in your lifetime... This mean EVERYONE has, most the time not necessarily on purpose!
She may get a tummy ache, but I wouldnt worry too much about it... IF she gets alot of diarhea also, then you may have to be a bit more concerned, as maybe she got a parasite... Not meaning to scare you there, but it is possible... I wouldnt encourage eating sand of course, but dont panic over it... Good luck

Does she eat other things also? Like soap, ashes, dirt, dush or whatever. There is actually a condition called PICA which causes people to eat these non food itmes. They are looking for vitimans they are missing and actually crave them. Avery is iron deficient and she east all sorts of stuff. We are still working on this.
If she just tried it for the heck of it I wouldn't worry about it. She might have just wanted to know how it tasted or felt like. If she is little she'll probably eat lots more!! If she is older I'd explain the danger, as Cat mentioned, of eating this kind of stuff. It's probably no big deal.
