My husband has a very sensitive gag reflex. He can't eat lettuce or onions because of the texture. He likes onion flavor, but not the onion

Here is a link about SI Dysfunction. It explains it very good.I printed it out for my relatives so they could "understand" why Stephanie behaves the way she does.

Thanks for this link Brenda ... this is very interesting ....
I particularly picked up on this paragraph:
QUOTE Sensory integration dysfunction may exacerbate other problems such as hyperactivity or unusually low activity. SI may contribute to distractibility, problems with motor coordination, poor eye-hand coordination, social and emotional problems and academic problems. Since all these problems can result from attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder one must not jump to conclusions. A person with allergies or visual problems may also exhibit these symptoms. END QUOTE
Interestingly this was the only mention I saw of adhd ... and it seemed to me from reading the article that there is no particular LINK associated with SID and adhd mentioned at all ... i.e. it seemed to me that although one might be mistaken for the other (as per this paragraph) there is in fact nothing to indicate it as a common comorbid condition of adhd ...
Hmmmm ..... this is very interesting! Thanks for sharing this!
