There is a wonderful free email newsletter available to anyone who wants it. Go to www.bipolarchild.com and sign up for it! By Dr's Janice and Demetri Papolos who know what they are talking about. There are also past issues you can read that answer a lot of questions about this disorder.

This is a very useful newsletter, I agree, Oh Mama. How are you doing? What are you doing with meds these days? Did you read the newsletter on trileptal and on abilify? lisle

Lisle, Hello there! I've been very busy landscaping and haven't had much time to post anything, but I've been reading all I could from the board. You guys are great! I'm glad to see I haven't been forgotten.
The only med I'm giving right now is the Depakote. It has stablized the mood swings and aggression. I'm still giving the omega 3, that is a lifesaver for us and has made the most noticeable difference in the "natural" treatment options. Still giving all the vitamins/minerals and watching the diet. How are you doing?
I didn't read anything about Trileptal or Abilify, guess I missed that. You have me curious. What's the scoop in those meds now, is it good? For us the Trileptal was causing too many side effects. This Depakote is very mild and seems to be doing the job.
