I tried this yesterday, but I don't think that it worked.
Any how, Mikey's teacher brought to my attention the term visual perseption. He has glasses since the darling has MY eyes, including the lazy one.
Does anyone have any information on references that may help me and Mikey?
Anything at all, is appreciated Kaiti

The only thing I can think of is that spatial relationships tend to be hard for most people with ADHD (think geometry and parallel parking).

Did the teacher bring this to your attention for a specific reason? DS just failed his eye exam and is going to the eye doctor - looks like glasses in his future (both mom & dad's eyes here)! But he was tested on visual perception and it came out really high. So there isn't necessarily a connection with vision and visual perception. The OT usually administers these tests. I was just wondering what triggered the comment. DS has dysgraphia - and it is extremely common for dysgraphics to have special relations or visual perception problems - but his is fine. What is also interesting - he is surviving math (it is by far NOT his strongest subject) - but geometry - as Allanque pointed out the connection - he does great in - he's in the advanced math class for this topic. (Thank goodness there is one aspect of math he is good at - if he follows after me (and it looks like he is) - the rest is going to be a loooooong struggle )

Being as Mikey is only 6, she is more worried about his writing. When he writes, he is always above the line or below the line.
He already wears glasses, we both have a lazy left eye. I don't know what numbers go where, but we have the same vision, right eye:20/30 and left eye:20/100, or which ever way the numbers go for far sightedness.
I haven't seen any signs of disgraphsia or dyslexia, I work with another child who has been diagnosed as such.
As I had said, the teacher was concerned because of the alignment on the paper. We know of his fine motor skills not exactly great, but she said she say something that just struck her.
Example, I sat directly next to him as he wrote 5 sentences with his spelling words. He wrote them aligned, and small. When I got up from that he was to write 5 more sentences. He already told me he wanted to, so I didn't give him a time off.
When I got back, his "sentences" of all sizes, sm, large, as I'm thinking might it be a confidence thing related to adhd?
i'M GOING TO GO THINK ABOUT THAT ONE. Thanks for everything, it really helped, especially the geometry and parallel parking. I passed geometry with a " D" average, and I don't parallel park for fear of hitting another vehicle.
Thank you Kaiti
