Michael shocked me this week at his doctor appt. He ASKED the doctor for Adderall... we took him off it 2 1/2 yrs. ago...

I can't remember much about it now... effects, side effects, getting adjusted to it, let down at the end of the day...

So, my newest DUMB QUESTION is... tell me what I need to know if he is going to take it!!!

Of all the things I've lost... I miss my mind the most!

Well let's see here... The first day of the med Conner was a zombie...Day two he was great! So prepare for a weird first day maybe? It normally decreases a child's appetite (NOT the case for my Conner though). If your child has angry outbursts, sometimes this medication will make it worse. Regular adderall lasts about 3-4 hours I think... and Adderall XR lasts up to 9 hours. ((Again unless you are Conner). I love this medication though. The change in Conner's hyperness was a God-send!
