I thought this might be an interseting subject to discuss. I will start with one that has saved me thousands of dollars. At the onset of any type of upper respiratory situation where a biological or viral species has entered your system, You will have some symptom. THis could be a tickle in your throat that you get when you are catching something. The incubation area is the back of your throat. If you can kill the germs out in the back of your throat before they try to travel to you sinus cavity, It will probably not take hold. The way I have found to do this that is extremely successful is to take some hydrogen peroxide and roll it into the back of your throat. Then gargle lightly, not to get it up in your sinus cavity. The next thing is to open your mouth and lean over the sink to let it run out. You have to stay in the position over the sink for about two minutes to let the peroxide remove all of the germs from the tissue in the back of your throat. Then gargle with a good mouth wash twice. The alcohol in the mouthwash will finish off the stuff the peroxide didn't get. I have had nurses to tell me that they tried it and their whole family avoided going to the next stage of the illness they were catching and got well. This works so well that I used to do this if I was woken up with a sore throat that was so bad that I couldn't sleep. It makes it go away completely and you can go right to sleep. I have another good one, but not until someone gets a chance.

I have a slight respiratory something right now. I am a great believer in mouthwashes....but peroxide? Another remedy that works for your teeth is to make a paste of baking soda and peroxide and brush as usual. I only do this at night and it keeps my pearly whites white!! I know it sounds gross but it works.

This is a good topic!! ... Here is one for helping you get to sleep .... Mix about 1/4 cup of aniseed in 1cup of water and bring to the boil and drink. The aniseed will relax you and help you fall alseep. It's also apparently good for babies with milk. It calms them down and they usually don't wake up as much during the night.

OK Linda,
I guess I better give this one to you too. It is upper respiratory also. If you have sneezed, like in a symptomatic preface to respiratory problems, you can lean your head back and put four drops of Visine AC in each nostril. The next step is to suck it in rapidly. This will get it up in your sinus cavities. Then you have to move your head around so the Visine will run into all areas of the sinus cavity. The last thing is to blow your nose after you have waited for two minutes. After you sit down and rest and breathe for about twenty to thirty minutes you wil be amazed how your nasal passage has been helped. You see if it can go in your eye it definately can go in your nasal passage. It is saline solution and redness and inflamation and swelling reducers. You and Anne and I could remarket the product as a nasal drop. We probably would be so rich we could buy our own islands next to each other. George

If you put these two things together and make sure they get done at the onset of the symptoms it could be called the cure for the common cold. If you are already sick you can gargle twice a day for two days and then once a day and it wipes out the sickness. The Visine deal can be done once a day during the same time. It really works. George PS Want to know how to get a home remedy face lift and wrinkle remover?

I almost tried the hyd. peroxide cure, but my bottle is really old, and besides that I was afraid I would swallow some of the stuff.
Anne, I couldn't get to the site you linked.

Hey I'm Back,
The secret is to take a styptic pencil and rub it on a wash rag with warm water on it. Then rub it all over your scalp, face and neck. Rub it in to the skin and let it stay on for about twenty minutes. Do this once a day for about a week and you won't believe the difference. The skin cells restructure to the shape they are supposed to be and all of the skin that has layed out pulls back into shape. Rub it on your hands too. watch the difference in one week. This also makes some skin lesions go away. Now this is a secret guys. Only for my best friends.
