my 8 year old son has been on strattera 60 mg for about 2 years now. Today the Dr. added 18 mg of Concerta. He says it will help . Does anyone here have a child on the same thing? If so, how is it working? Thank you.

:)Mrsfisher and welcome to our forum-family. I know some here do use both strattera and concerta with their kid´s, I think it´s because strattera is not so good on focusing, mayby I hope you´ll soon get answer´s from some that have first-hand info of this. My ds9 is on concerta 36mg and we´ve been happy with it. I keep my thump´s up for this to work for you keep us posted!

Mrs Fisher and WELCOME ABOARD !! ... As finnmom says this is a combination that many people do seem to find helpful ... I wish I could be more specific but (again like finnmom) my son has only ever taken Concerta ... which has been very helpful. Hopefully someone else can shed more information on this ... but i have heard very positive results from this combination!! KEEP US POSTED!!

Thank you for the welcome. It is so nice to be able to discuss this with other moms that know what we are going through. I am starting to see a bit of difference in my sons behavior. You are right, the concerta was just to kind of boost up the strattera. At one time he was on concerta alone but lost a lot of weight. I hope that that doesn't happen this time. Thank you again.
