Triteptal in the AM or PM

My son (8) is on adderal l XR in the PM and Clonidine in the PM. These times were specified by the Dr. He is also on Trileptal, but no one told me when to give it to him. I have been giving it to him in the PM with the Clonidine. Am I better off giving it to him in the morning?

I am not seeing much of a difference yet from the Trileptal. How long does it usually take? He has been on it for 2 weeks.

kurs10b and welcome to our forum family! i'm sorry that i dont have experience with trileptal, but you can call the pharmacist if you dont want to call the dr. there are a few parents whose kids have been on trileptal, hopefully, they'll see this and post.

I did call walgreens. They said it would take 4-6 weeks to get into his system and start working. Doesnt sound like it matters when he takes it, but in adults, they seem to split the dose instead of giving it all at once.
