So it's January and my annual Christmas cold, which I'd thought I'd safely avoided, turned out to have just been delayed a week. The last time I had a cold I (stupidly) took a dose of Tylenol Cold and found myself in the doctors office fifteen minutes later, with a resting heart rate upwards of 120 beats a minute. That's about when I remembered "Oh yeah, you aren't supposed to take pseudoephedrine with Strattera."
Good thing I only took one capsule and not two.
So, long story/question short (too late), does anyone know of a cold medication or decongestant that can be taken safely with Strattera (i.e. one that does not contain pseudoephedrine)? Thanks.

Meghynne and welcome to our group I am glad you posted about your reaction to the tylenol cold-----If my ds gets stuffed up and he hasn't had his zyrtec in a while I will give him 1 tylenol sinus. Ds has never told me about his heart racing or feeling ill but I will have to ask him after school----I hope that didn't happen to him I hope to see you around and feel free to ask anything----you never know until you ask
