::)Week ago monday was home sick with the head/chest crud. Sent dd off to school. Forgot to give her her concerta. They had a math test. She got a 50. I guess she should take some responsibility (she's 10) but I still feel bad. Teacher said not to worry. I guess in the cosmic stream of things what she made in math in 5th grade isn't important but the fact that we're struggling to get a 75 doesn't help. If anyone wonders about whether meds work or not, just forget the meds and watch what happens.

BTDT!! Within 2 hours of my sd arriving at school, I received a phone call asking if I could of possibly forgotten to give sd her medicine... Well of course I didnt forget! I run home to get the afternoon dose, and the pill WAS sitting on the counter Guess I did forget... LOL Anyway it was obvious to me, if the teacher could tell that instantly, the medicine is helping at the very least... Dont kick yourself, we cant be perfect all the time! cat

sweety
DS went to school last year without meds. The principal called me up to tell me that they were sending him home (he was found scaling the tops of the bathroom stalls) and in the time it took her to call me up and tell me that - she suddenly said - "Oh now" - Alexander has colored both arms and his face completely with red marker - in the principal's office in a matter of minutes . . . (BTW - her call wasn't out of anger but she realized he wasn't going to get anything out of school for the day).
It happens to the best of us sometimes!!

My ds went through a similiar situation, the medicine he takes is just the barrier needed between impulsive behavior and the exceptional student he is, well most of the time.... Miles
