Can we do a med count up including natural alts ? I would be interested to see how many are on what meds etc.etc. It would also be interesting to see how many are on Strattera now that it has been out 2 years versus the more conventional meds etc ... Maybe we could also give a mark out of 5 as to how effective we feel each med is .... (5 = excellent, 0 = Hopeless)
OK ... I will go first ...
My 16.5 year old son is on
Concerta 36 mg = 3 St Johns Wort = 5
Oh and he was once on Ritalin 10mg x 3 times daily = 1

DS-9
Ritalin LA 40 mg X 2 = 3 Clonidine .1 mg X 2 = 4 Risperdal .25 mg X 2 = 4 Focalin 10 mg X 1 = 3
We've been on this combination for a couple of years and I'm not so sure it's continuing to work like it used to, but I'm soooo reluctant to start over.

:)DD is on Concerta 45mg every day. 4.5 I'd say. Does very well except for sometimes she has "crying jags" when she gets home if she is upset about anything. I'm on strattera 60mg every day, prozac 20mg every day. Can't see that the strattera does a whole lot but it works synergistically with my prozac and cuts out the sad spells I was having. I tried concerta and had HORRIBLE mood swings. I guess the strattera is working. I can get 10Xs as much as everyone else at work. I'll give it a 4.

DS14 inattentive ADHD - started on Adderall 10mg = 3
switched to concerta for 6 months 27 mg = 1 (terrible mood swings, anger, depression)
switched to Strattera 80 mg for 8 months = 2 (Happier, but no help with concentration)
Now on Adderall XR 30mg = 5 (still has some anger at times, but he is afterall a teenager LOL)

DD6 was on concerta 36 mgs. I would rate it a 1. It did help with his attention, but caused horrid moods and eventually severe depression. Switching to strattera now, keeping our fingers crossed that this will be the 5 rating he needs!!
