My son's dr. wants to try this stimulant next. It has been used off label in clinical trials to treat ADHD. It was originally manufactured for narcolepsy by Cephalon. It is supposed to be a more selective stimulant without rebound and the negative side effects of traditional stimulants. It is not yet approved by the FDA for adhd and is evidently not paid for by many insurance companies and is very expensive.

My son did try it, we learnt about it out of deperation where we live the traditional stimulants are not marketed. It really did not have any effect on him, he said he felt the same. Ni sude effects either though.
