anybody using prozac for their child for anxiety? I am going to discuss this with my son's Dr. He is taking lexapro now and the past couple of months the anxiety is returning. Thanks.

We did for a while, but for my sd it made her aggression WORSE!! If ya can believe that... LOL

My dd has been on 30mg of prozac for about 8 weeks now. She is on it for axiety/ocd/depression. Prior to this she was on zoloft and luvox. She seems like she's doing OK on it. She just went thru 2 weeks of finals and projects and there were no major meltdowns (yea!). So far, so good. She's also on a half dose of Strattera (problems mixing these 2 meds).
In the past the ssri's have helped her depression and the anxiety to some extent but not the ocd as much as we'd like it to. Only side effects for her (after ramp up) has been tremoring of her hands.
