Good morning to everyone. I took Josh to the dr. yesterday and we have increased his Adderall XR to 15 mg. I also told the dr. that something had to be done about his aggressive behavior and the test anxiety that seems to have gotten worse. He has put him on tripineal. I don't think that I have spelled right. Just curious if anyone has heard of it. I hope that it works. We are just giving it to him at night (150 mg) for a week then in the a.m. and p.m.

Hi, ARe you referring to Trileptal? Let us know how it is working. If so, that's one I have considered for my son. lisle

Yes, that is the medicine I was talking about. I spelled it wrong. We started Josh off on 150 mg at night for a week and then we started giving it to him in the a.m. as well as the p.m. I don't want to jinx myself, but so far we have been doing really good. We have not had any severe meltdowns all week and his teacher has said that he has been doing good in school. Josh was having alot of test anxiety and this is also suppose to help that, but with this being the last week and they have not test I really can not judge that part.
Good luck, Kristy

Hi, new to this forum.
My 8 year old was on Adderal but then he started seeing a psyc instead of his Dr. The psyc took him off the adderal and put him on Clonidine .1 mg 1x a day and Trileptal 300 1x a day. He is now sleeping well at night, but he has reverted back to the ADHD symptoms he started out with.
He was put on the Trileptal to stop the meltdowns and agressive behavior, but they haven't stopped yet. He has only been on this for a few days though and I am hoping that he gets enough soon to be effective.
It sounds like a lot of you have kids on all 3 meds? I want to put him back on the adderal so he can concentrate.
