Well, It's been a week and a half since I switched my son to Concerta. He started with 18 mgs and as of last Thursday he is on 27 mgs. So far, so good. He has not had a single tantrum or rage. However, at the present dose, he is still as hyper as ever. I think Adderrall Xr did much better at controlling his hyperactivty than Concerta...so far.... At any rate, doc said that Gabriel will probably need 56mg dose to equal the hyperactivity control achieved with 20 mgs of Adderrall Xr so we still have room to play. I really hope this works. He is eating me out of house and home and is sleeping much much better too so I really hope Concerta works....

That's great!! It is so nice when things go well for our kids for a change. It gives us peace and helps them so much to feel in control. I hope it continues.

Hi Everyone!!!
Just wanted to give you all an update on Concerta. Gabriel is now on 36 mgs of Concerta and has been at this dose for 3 weeks now. So Far......so GOOD!!!!!
No tantrums, no rages, hyperactivity is finally controlled. WOOHOO!!!!!
He is eating fairly well(much better than when on Adderrall xr) and he is sleeping well also. I am soo excited. I think we may have finally found the med that is gonna work for him.
