My son started METADATE CD....Any Info about it???

Hello I am new to this board and I need some help. My son is 4 and weighs 60 pounds. He was diagnosed with ADHD last month and the dr started him on Adderall XR and oh my it was horrible.. He was aggressive, moody, night terrors, hallucinating at night, talking in his sleep, tossing and turning all night. I contacted the dr and he stopped it that day.. Went in this past week and he started him on Metadate CD 10mg. Started him on it today and it seems to be working ok. He hasnt been aggressive or moody like the first day with adderall xr.

What should i expect with this meds and what should i watch out for.

anyone with any info. please let me know..

We used metadate for awhile, and we also noticed it didn't haave the tendency to increase aggression or irritability like adderall did. My ds developed tics on metadate; of course that doesn't mean yours will, since that is dependent on each child. Hope this one works well for you.

Not that you will experience the same, because all children and meds act different, but Brooke had a lot of tics on Metadate. She was also more irritable and prone to meltdowns.
