Guess its time for a med adjustment. Son is on trileptal, but still having mood swings and overreacting to little things. He is also on Concerta 54 for the ADHD and ritilan for a booster when he needs it, but I have seen absolutly no help from the ritilan and the concerta is worn off by 2:00. Does anyone here do a small booster dose of Concerta? I am wondering if we can lower him to 36 in the morning with a booster of 18 in the afternoon.
I will not even consider taking him off meds for the summer, but it is probably a good time to do some tweaking.

hi kurs, my ds9 had similar reactions to all stims. he overreacted to everything and his emotions were all over the chart. is it possible that stims could be causing a negative reaction in your ds as well?

He did have a bad reaction to adderal, but for the most part does well on concerta. I really dont want to try him on straterra since it is even more hit and miss on working.
The kid doesnt understand consequences. Like just a few minutes ago. I told him (and brother) to be quiet and go to bed. They kept talking/whining. I told them if they didnt stop, they would loose TV tomorrow. Youngest kept talking. Talking to me, to brother. I again said he needed to be quiet or he would loose TV. He still kept talking until I said if I saw a TV on before I told them they could watch, they would loose it for the whole day. Then he says "ok mom, Ill be quiet". I told him too late. He already lost it. He just doesnt get it.
