Yep I had a phone-time with the neurologost after 1 month´s trial-time with conserta. Both I and theacher(so anti-med´s as ever ;D) filled up conner´s-forms and neurologist saw quite an improvement in ds behaving at school during med´s. So, we are continuing with it. I´am not shure if I´am clad or not , it´s so confusing On the other hand: anything that help´s is good, this seem´s to help, so be it AND on the other hand: med´s for my kid You know, what I mean. There hasn´t been any sever or significant reaction´s for med´s, that´s a releaf. So I think, in the end, I´am happy to do this. Just thought to let you know, thank you for your support at the very beginning of this Marja

I agree with Linda. I have also just put my son on meds and I still don't like it but he has shown some improvement and well, i figure i might do him more harm than good if I don't keep him on the meds.....So finnmom I am in the exact position that you are in and i totally understand how you feel...

Hi Marja ... I too agree with the others ... please don't feel guilty - although I also understand exactly what you are saying ... we ALL just wish our kids didn't need the meds in the first place! ... BUT when we see that the meds really DO help them and DO make a difference and when we compare life after meds with before meds and the effect has been hugely positive - then this shows us that we ARE doing the right thing by our kids ... You know we were chatting on another thread about one off/now and again not being able to get to sleep? Sam had one of those nights last night ... he told me he didn't get to sleep until about 3.00 a.m. this morning!! (Although he DOES tend to exaggerate ... ;D) ... in the last few weeks Sam has settled at the higher dosage (54 mg)for 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) ... and 99% of nights he is absolutely FINE in getting to sleep ... but just very occasionally he gets a night like that - he told me that his "eyes were wide open and he just WASN'T tired" ... He said it really annoyed him feeling so restless ... I tried to pinpoint why LAST NIGHT was bad (and all other nights have been fine!) ... but we couldn't come up with anything substantial ... in fact he said "Well you tell ME Mum!" BUT that is not a negative comment (because it IS rare) ... but thought it was relevant to mention it from the other discussion on another thread ...

Anne Thank you We´ll be o´kay with this, fortunatly all our family agree´s about trying and seeing if it help´s with med´s, so I dont have to justifye our action´s for them. Also, fortunately, those sleeping problem´s seem´s to be occational, only one REALLY bad night so far. Funny that you mentioned your son said that eye´s just were wide open, my Sami said just yesterday that sometime´s his eye´s wont close when he tryes to fall as sleep??? Mayby it´s just his imagination, wich is quite wild ;D HHHMMMMM...... Marja
