Stephanie's doctor put her on Orap for tics.How safe is it for kids?Anyone know anything about it?What are the side effects?She developed a head and neck tic when her Concerta was increased.

go to www.medlineplus.comThere is alot of info on this med and a lot of different meds interact with it. I will find other med sites tomorrow when I am at work. DO NOT HAVE HER DRINK GRAPEFRUIT JUICE! Look under both enteries. This is a very serious medication especially for kids. I would print off all the info and keep it with me as you may need it in case of an emergency or to know the drug interactions. Sue Is there another stim or ADHD med she can use. Quite truthfully, I would be very hesitant to use this with my child.  |

Thanks Jorgy.I am terrified but she has been pulling her hair out also.She twists it with her finger and then pulls out the knots.She developed a huge bald spot a few months ago while she was on Adderall.She was ok on the 18 mg of Concerta but started pulling it out again after it was increased to 27.The doctor said that the hair pulling is a tic.She was on Clonidine twice a day.I don't know why he couldn't increase it or give her the patch form.Thanks Brenda
